Aerial and Ground Photographs of British Airfields

RAF Coningsby

Here's a selection of photos taken at the Coningsby Photocall in August 1996. The scanner I used to scan these in was up the creek, so I had to play around with the brightness and contrast of the images to get them to look as though they were taken in daylight :)

Nice shot of the front of a Gaydon type hangar on the northside.

A shot looking north from a position just north of the runway. The HASs can be seen in the background, and as can be seen there's a fair few trees over there.

B1 type hangar in the background on the right. They seem to have been reclad at some point (especially the roofs).

Shot looking south from a position next to the BBMF hangar (see below). The road is not easy to see, but those cars are parked up on a parking area immediately to the north of it. I thought this may be a useful shot as it shows some of the old taxiways and dispersals to the south of the road.

The BBMF hangar (a B1 type).
