Aerial and Ground Photographs of British Airfields

RAF Waddington

I took these shots at the RAF Waddington airshow in July 1999. They are all of buildings on the airfield.

Air traffic control towers

Shot taken from the west side of the towers, looking east (i.e. hangars behind me and A15 out of view behind the towers). Both towers seem to have people in them, so I assume they are both operational.

Sentry hangar

This is the Sentry hangar. That's what I call it anywhere because it's where the Sentries are hangared. It's quite a big beastie, this shot is taken from a point just to the north on the equally large apron.

C-Type hangar

One of the fairly standard C-Type hangars at Waddo, with the usual red brick construction, green doors and hipped roof. This is the most southerly of the bunch. Shot taken from from a point to the south-east.

Air Warfare Centre

This is the Air Warfare Centre building, which sprung up a couple of years ago. It is situated just to the south-west of the hangar complex. Shot taken from a point north-east of the building.
