Early Hangars
WWI
There were quite a number of different designs in use during WWI; most
of which do not survive to this day (many were canvas affairs). The most
important design is probably the 1917 pattern GS shed (universally known
as the Belfast due to its Belfast wooden truss method of roof support).
These have curved roofs and good examples exist at Duxford, Old Sarum
and the RAF Museum at Hendon. I ain't got a picture of one!
F Type
Desgined just after WWI. Side opening doors.
Pembrey. Pretty rare.
