Eurofighter have always been cautious about the fly-by-wire system of the Typhoon, maybe because of the accidents that have befallen similar aircraft during their development programmes, notably the SAAB Gripen and Boeing/Lockheed Martin F-22. Finally this year the Typhoon was cleared to give a full display, and excellent it was too.
